Code of conduct

Players agree to

• Foster an inclusive environment for every member of the community, regardless of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, or mental, physical, or sensory disability.
• Never engage in or condone discrimination, harassment, bullying, or threats, or express themselves in ways that infringe on the freedom of others.
• Treat others with respect on the field, play safely, and abide by the Official Rules of Ultimate, including the tenets of Spirit of the Game.
• Actively protect the health and safety of the community and never engage in emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, assault, or harassment, or any act that endangers others.
• Be truthful and respectful with the coaching staff and abide by their decisions regarding participation if this code is violated.
• Follow the laws and facility rules wherever we play, and represent the sport well in the wider community.

Coaches' responsibilities

Coaches address conduct violations and may warn, place on probation, suspend, expel, or take other appropriate disciplinary action, notifying the board when they do. Every coach completes a full background check and required SafeSport training.

Reporting

If a player is uncomfortable reporting a violation to a coach, contact the President of the Poets & Pitchers board directly at poetspitchersultimate@gmail.com.
